Crunchyroll has been going big as of late, and those who attended San Diego Comic-Con noticed two concerts held at The Rady Shell live music venue at Jacobs Park behind the San Diego Convention Center. The concerts were free for San Diego Comic-Con badge holders and were fun-filled nights to end the day with over 9000 in attendance, which was almost at the venue’s capacity.
The first night’s concert, Crunchyroll-Hime Dance Party with DJ Jun Inagawa with Atarashii Gakko!, was presented by Crunchyroll and 88rising. It was held on Friday, July 22nd, and featured anime-inspired elements and a dance crew.
The second night was the Dragon Ball Z Concert Experience and Crunchyroll-Hime Animata Dance Party on Saturday, July 23. It started off with Azuria Sky spinning and concluded with a Dragon Ball Z concert with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and special guest singer Hiroki Takahashi. A mini-fireworks show was a nice end to the concert.
