‘Evil Dead: The Game’ – ‘Army of Darkness’ DLC Trailer Shows Off Today’s New Content!
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise roars back to life this Friday with Netflix‘s brand new movie, and today we’ve been treated to a taste of the new movie’s gnarly soundtrack.
Fresh off horror films Hereditary and Color Out of Space, Colin Stetson composed the score for the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and you can listen to a complete track below!
The track is titled “Sledgehammer,” and it’s a chaotic listen that manages to pitch perfectly channel the madness of the Chainsaw franchise.
“This one comes as close to encapsulating the entirety and extremity of this score as a whole as any, from wailing aggression to sorrowful defeat, and ending on some of the most maniacal lunacy I’ve ever used in film,” Stetson tells Bloody Disgusting.
Old Man Leatherface slices his way onto Netflix on February 18.
The new movie is a decades-later sequel only to Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with actress Olwen Fouéré (Mandy) taking over the iconic role of Sally Hardesty from the late Marilyn Burns. Here’s the full official synopsis for the new movie…
“After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.”
“Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.”
Mark Burnham (Lowlife) is Old Man Leatherface in Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
David Blue Garcia (Tejano) directed the movie, written by Chris Thomas Devlin.
Fede Alvarez is producing with Bad Hombre’s Rodolfo Sayagues, alongside Kim Henkel (co-writer of the 1974 film), Ian Henkel and Pat Cassidy, who are producing via their Exurbia Films.

Ghostface returns to theaters with the sixth installment in the Scream franchise next year and this time the surviving characters are heading to New York!
The film is already deep into production and yet the entire cast has not been revealed. In fact, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report that horror maven Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Mayhem, The Babysitter, “Ash vs Evil Dead”) has joined the cast of Scream 6 alongside Spider-Man: Homecoming & No Way Home‘s Tony Revolori.
Interestingly, Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett ( Scream, Ready or Not ), who are both back behind the camera for the sixth film, had initially reached out to Weaving for a role in the last film.
“We were talking about it, but our schedules aren’t gonna work, which is a bummer,” Weaving had told Collider back in 2020. “We talked about it a lot, but unfortunately, because of scheduling, I couldn’t do it.”
Stars have aligned on Scream 6, which will also feature the highly anticipated return of Hayden Panettiere as Scream 4‘s Kirby Reed. Courteney Cox will also reprise her role as fan-favorite Gale Weathers.
Melissa Barrera (“Sam”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy”), Mason Gooding (“Chad”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara”), and Dermot Mulroney are all confirmed for the next installment of Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures’ Scream film franchise.
Jack Champion ( Avatar: The Way of Water ), Liana Liberato ( The Beach House ), Devyn Nekoda (“Ghostwriter”), Josh Segarra (“Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) also star.
In the brand new movie, “The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”
Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein, and William Sherak are serving as producers ( Scream, Ambulance ).
Creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of Radio Silence, Chad Villella , are executive producing alongside Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, and Marianne Maddalena. Fans can expect the next Scream to release in theatres worldwide on March 31, 2023 .
