Horror themed, metalcore band Ice Nine Kills is back with “The Shower Scene,” a brand new NSFW music video that pays tribute to Psycho from the album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood.
Frontman Spencer Charnas, a big time horror fan and guest star on Bloody Disgusting’s new scripted podcast series Bleeders DIEgest, plays Norman Bates in the video, recreating iconic moments from Alfred Hitchcock’s classic. “The Shower Scene” music video is nestled within an ongoing story for the Welcome To Horrorwood album, though.
Charnas also plays himself, on trial for murder. It’s here that the video cuts loose with the notable horror cameos. Horror host Joe Bob Briggs presides over the courtroom as the judge and brings his drive-in totals to the case. Also look for Ricky Dean Logan (Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare), Scout Taylor-Compton (2007’s Halloween, Halloween II), and Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2).
In keeping with the gory, NSFW theme, the video culminates in one grisly finale that features Dead Meat Podcast host Chelsea Rebecca as Officer Ophelia. There’s a killer on the loose, and more story left to tell with Welcome to Horrorwood.
Check out the new video below.
About the album, available now: “A sequel of franchise proportions to the No. 1 Billboard Hard Rock Album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood doubles down in pursuit of the anthemic band’s cinematic muse. Decadent, devious, and fiercely insane, with sardonic wit to spare, Ice Nine Kills celebrate pop culture’s darkest edges, mining a cinephile library’s worth of b-movie schlock and iconic horror on Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2 and it’s prequel, The Silver Scream. The creative marriage made in hell of music and fiction began in earnest with the Boston-based band’s Top 5 Hard Rock album, Every Trick in the Book, which brought the previous three records’ themes to new levels with literary-immersed tracks.”
