On Aug.13, police were dispatched to a Brookpark Road business regarding a theft.
An arriving officer talked to a landscaper, who said he was mowing the grass when a man driving a ‘90s red Buick pulled into the lot and stole a backpack leaf blower and string trimmer that were sitting on the ground.
The Garfield Heights landscaper said the items were valued at $1,000. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
On Aug. 13, police were dispatched to I-480 near Tiedeman Road regarding a disabled vehicle blocking the entrance ramp. An arriving officer located the vehicle, which was towed.
On Aug. 12, police were dispatched to Parkview Estates regarding a disturbance among family members in the Brookpark Road parking lot.
An arriving officer located the caller’s daughter and boyfriend. While there wasn’t any violence, it turned out that the woman had a warrant. She was arrested and held for transport.
On Aug. 12, a Walmart employee observed a shopper stealing merchandise from the Brookpark Road store.
An arriving officer talked to the loss prevention officer, who said the woman had attempted to steal items valued at more than $524. The Cleveland woman was cited for shoplifting.
On Aug. 10, police were dispatched to Westbrook Drive after a resident discovered that something was wrong with her Ford Escape.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said that morning when she started the Ford, it had a very loud exhaust. It turned out that someone had stolen the catalytic converter.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
